For the past four months, community groups have been showcasing dance sets to the themes of Earth, Wind, Fire and Water, competing for a place in Live Vibe final. This weekend the four winning groups join a variety of guest acts at the Peacock Theatre for the last show in the season: Live Vibe Elements hosted by Hakeem Onibudo and Annaliese Dayes.

It’s every community dance group’s dream to perform in the West End. For four of them that dream is coming true. Just Us, D-Youngaz, Avant Garde Youth and St. Marylebone are winners of the monthly Live Vibe shows that took place at the Lilian Baylis Theatre from March to June.
Each of the winners performing at Live Vibe Elements competed against four other local groups in front of a panel of expert judges using the themes of elements as the basis for their choreography. All of the groups amused, but some truly amazed.
Guest acts for the Live Vibe Elements final include Impact Dance’s own Fully Functioning Individuals, and regulars ZooYouth.
Performing their London set fresh from Dancing on Parliament as part of Big Dance 2010 are the Waacktitioners, while Rapture and Nobulus fly over from Northern Ireland and Austria respectively.
As well as the dancing, the evening’s proceedings include live entertainment from Duane Flames and a live band, BMX tricks from Roadworks and poetry from FLOetic Lara, as well as the usual audience games, but on a West End scale.
Applications for the next season of Live Vibe, Live Vibe at the Movies, are open now. For more information see AllStreetDance.
