We’re excited about Lyrix Organix at the Queen’s Head

Lyrix Organix is one of the rare events that takes place in London that incorporates hip hop (emceeing, beatboxing, spoken word) with traditional music styles (folk, acoustic) and does it well.

When looking for actual grass roots hip hop events around the City, rarely does an event come along that is so grass roots the name works as a metaphor for it! Outside of Rich Mix, no one else does nights like these. Lyrix Organix is one of the rare events that takes place in London that incorporates hip hop (emceeing, beatboxing, spoken word) with traditional music styles (folk, acoustic) and does it well.

After a critically acclaimed run at the Brighton Fringe Festival and a ‘supposed-to-be-one-off’ show with Lyrix Organix: Emergance in June (this is the second one at the same venue), Lyrix is returning for more of the same with a new line up of established underground acts.

After an opening from Native Sun, those who attended Live Vibe Elements will recognise the spoken word and musical talent of FLOetic Lara while J Leen who entertained at Beardyman’s Freestyle Project at the Udderbelly on London’s Southbank will lend his improvisational flow to the mix.

Meanwhile Kaya, a live five piece band will introduce their brand of fusion hip hop sounds and Ayah Marar will provide her vocals.
