We’re excited about Get It On The Floor 2010 Dance Competition at Fairfields Hall Croydon
Get It On the Floor is for many community dance groups a chance to perform and compete against other of their ability.
Now in its third year, Get It On the Floor has its moved from its former venue at the Hackney Empire to Fairfields Hall, Croydon with Kymberlee Jay re-assuming her role as host.
This year’s show follows the same concept of allowing community dance groups to have an opportunity to perform at an upscale venue alongside established dance groups while focussing on the positivity.
Confirmed judges for the night are Issac (Turbo) of Stone Throwerz, Peridot choreographer Simmz and B-Girl Sun Sun of UK b-girl crew Flowzaic, and included special performing acts from Dionne Reid, Realitie and Turbo.
Last year’s Get It On the Floor was a community dance extravaganza that saw Kloe Dean’s Myself winning in the over 18 category and Tolu the under 18s with her “raw passion and confidence,” according to Nicky’s review of Get It On the Floor 2009.
