RTkal
RTkal developed a passion for grime by listening to pirate radio, but takes inspiration from a wide range of music including reggae, dub and ragga. Theatrical performance has gone hand in hand with music and writing; in 2007 RT was part of Don Letts’ Speaker’s Corner alongside Skinnyman (with whom he continues to tour) and this year worked with Yusra Warsama and Malika Booker to develop spoken word theatre piece Three Way with The REP and Apples and Snakes. RT has performed at the Bass, Rootsville and Amsterdam Black Soil music festivals and is founder of the music label Try My Angle.
