In dark studios in the depths of East London and the dingy clubs of the West End, a phenomenon has been steadily gathering momentum.
Back in September, thanks to B-
Waacking began in the 70s on TV’s Soul Train’ alongside other funk styles. Dancers would simply pose to the beat until waacking pioneer Tyrone Proctor began the trend of flinging and rolling his arms to hit the beat, with a cry of “yeah! Waack it out!”
Now waacking has exploded onto the London dance scene in the wake of The Waacktitioners
as they pose and waack their way across the city’s dance floors, all over Facebook,
onto the stage of Wandsworth Palais for Dancer’s Delight and even out into the street

In their mission to spread the word and the love of the dance, The Waacktitioners
take over Den & Centro on Sunday 22nd November from 4-
The Waacktitioners’ Princess Ginger said:
“Waacking started in the clubs so we’re taking it back, come and find out what this style is about, let’s waack it out till they kick us out!”
Everyone aged 18+ is welcome, from complete beginners to full blown divas. From Soul
